Honey Mustard Spiced Salmon We moved into a new apartment this weekend

Honey Mustard Spiced Salmon We moved into a new apartment this weekend and am super excited to find our local market has an amazing seafood selection!
I love how honey mustard pairs with salmon, but the punch here really comes from the rub made with lots of smoked paprika, cumin, garlic and lemon. Lots of great flavors. It was also an opportunity to finally break out my new grill pan which gave the most perfect sear marks. Love this salmon seasoning and mustard sauce.
Cous cous has been my go to grain these days. So quick and delish. The green beans were sautéed with olive oil, garlic, a squeeze of lemon juice, pine nuts and some fresh basil, S&P.

– 16 oz salmon
– 1 tbsp + 1/8 cup olive oil
– 2 tsp cumin
– 2 tsp smoked paprika
– 4 cloves garlic, minced
– zest + juice 1 lemon
– pinch crushed red pepper
– 1/4 cup Dijon mustard
– 1/4 cup honey
– 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper
– sea salt and pepper

Place the salmon skin side down in a baking dish. In a small bowl combine cumin, paprika, lemon zest, garlic, salt, pepper and crushed red pepper flakes. Add 1 tbsp olive oil and combine. Brush evenly on the top of the salmon so completely covered.

In a separate small bowl combine olive oil, honey, mustard, lemon juice, dash of salt and cayenne. Whisk to combine. This will be your finishing sauce.

Heat your grill pan (or any pan). Once hot, place salmon skin side down and let cook for 4 minutes. Flip and cook another four minutes. Remove and drizzle with your homemade honey mustard and top with some fresh basil.
