Can’t I just tell you.. these:
Are everything I love about Food in burger form. I prepped them yesterday, chopped the toppings tonight and we threw them on the grill. No better way to have tasty easy night dinner! … Also, it’s Monday.. pair that baby with a
•1/2 green bell pepper chopped
•1/2 red bell pepper chopped
•1/3 onion chopped (I used red, they’re my preference) •1lb ground chicken
•1 taco seasoning packet (you can easily make your own but I just didn’t have time.. who are we kidding I had my groceries delivered this week ️)
•Handfull chopped cilantro
•1 egg whisked
** Sauté bell pepper, onion, and cilantro. Halfway through add 1/4-ish of the taco seasoning packet, cook until lightly browned and veggies are soft. Mix cooked veggies, egg, ground chicken, and remaining seasoning packet. (TIP: Regardless of what meat I’m using I always mold it into one big meatball, cover, place in the fridge for a minimum of 30 minutes to let the fat solidify. This makes burgers SO much easier to mold) Make burger patties. (TIP: Freeze burgers partially or all the way prior to cooking, again, the solidified fat helps them stay together.) Note: You can add any veggies into these or any burgers. Riced veggies are our fav to sneak into burgers! Then grill, or cook however you please BUT it’s chicken so low and slow is best.. no one wants a medium cooked chicken burger . Top with your favorite toppings. I made to top them with, along with jalapeños, and sour cream. We’ll be putting them on lettuce buns and accompanying them with black beans.
